Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is a financial coach, and why would I want one?
Think of me as a personal trainer for your money. I build the plan around your real life, show you exactly what to do, and keep you going when you’d normally quit. Most people already know they should save more. A coach helps you actually do it.
Q: Is a financial coach the same as a financial advisor?
No. A financial advisor manages your investments. I help with everything that comes before that: where your paycheck goes, how you spend, how you save, and the habits that keep it all on track. You can have both. My job is to help get your money organized so there’s more to invest.
Q: What if I only want one session?
Money Made Simple runs over several months, because lasting change takes practice. If you have one specific question or situation, book a free call and we’ll talk about what makes sense for you.
Q: How soon will I see results?
Most clients feel lighter after the first session, just from finally seeing everything in one place. The bigger wins (savings growing, debt shrinking) come from showing up month after month.
Q: Can you help me if I’m a small business owner?
Yes, with your personal finances. That’s what Money Made Simple focuses on. If your business and personal money are tangled together, book a free call and we’ll talk about it.
Q: Can I still join if I don’t have a lot of debt?
Yes! You don’t need to have debt to join. If you do, we’ll build a plan to pay it off. If you don’t, we put that energy into saving and building wealth. Either way, this program is for people who make good money and still can’t tell you where it all goes each month.
Q: How much time will this take?
A little more at the start while we get everything organized. I build your Money Plan for you, so you’re not figuring it out alone. Once your system is set up, most clients spend about 15 minutes on payday keeping it on track. The program is flexible, so a lot of the work happens on your own time, with support whenever you need it. Miss a group call? There’s always a replay.
Q: Will other people see my numbers?
No. Your numbers stay between us. Group calls are for lessons, building habits, and questions. Anything personal (balances, debt, income) stays in your private 1-on-1 sessions.
Q: I’ve tried budgets and apps before, and nothing stuck. Why would this be different?
An app won’t notice when you fall off, but I will. Most budgets hand you a spreadsheet and leave you on your own. Here, your system is built around your actual paychecks and bills, and you have me and a group checking in every week. When life gets busy (and it will), you get back on track instead of starting over.
Q: How can I pay for the program if money is tight?
I get it. Spending money to fix your money can feel backwards when you’re already stressed. There are monthly payment plans, and the earlier you join, the smaller each payment. Not sure what fits your budget? Book a free call and let’s talk it through.
Q: I’m doing “okay” with money. Do I still need this?
Okay is where a lot of my clients start. They’re earning well, paying the bills, and still wondering if they’re doing enough. If you don’t know where your money goes, feel stuck, or are tired of carrying the money stuff alone, coaching helps you go from fine to confident.
Q: I make good money. Why do I still feel broke?
Because a bigger paycheck doesn’t fix spending you can’t see. When more money comes in, it usually goes right back out. Coaching helps you set up a plan so your next raise actually shows up in your savings.
Q: Can my partner join with me?
Yes! Couples join together for the same price. Money talks go a lot smoother when you’re both looking at the same plan.
Q: Do you offer refunds?
Yes, before the program starts. You’ll get the full details in your client agreement before you pay.
